David Giardina also performs around the country with pianist Paul Bisaccia in a show called "Tin Pan Alley Alive," a pure Americana review of favorite songs from the first part of the 20th century.
Tin Pan Alley ALIVE! is packed with great tunes, humor, delightful anecdotes about the composers -and even some dancing - that make the evening really come alive. The show has received standing ovations literally everywhere it has been performed.
The name "Tin Pan Alley Alive!"refers not only to that bygone era of American song but to the section of New York City where the likes of George & Ira Gershwin, Victor Herbert, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter and countless other musical legends wrote their hits. David Giardina, by the way, actually lives on the legendary Tin Pan Alley in New York and is a specialist in this genre.
Paul Bisaccia has performed on four continents. He graduated first in his class from the Hartt School. His vast repertoire includes the great piano classics as well as the complete solo piano music of Gershwin. His PBS television show "Gershwin by Bisaccia" has been seen by millions in the U.S. and Asia. Michael Feinstein calls "Paul Bisaccia and the Great American Piano",his second television show for PBS , "imaginative, fun, well played and totally satisfying."
Bisaccia was honored to perform Rhapsody in Blue in inauguration ceremonies for the new theater on the site of Aeolian Hall in New York, where Gershwin premiered his legendary work. Paul has 15 cd's on the Towerhill label. Please visit his website: paulbisaccia.com
